At Altairnano, we’ve developed new electrode materials, including a novel nano-structured lithium titanate anode material, to enable environmentally safe batteries. With a very fast charge, long life, high power, an extremely wide operating temperature range, and inherently safe, Altairnano batteries are the ideal solution for power and energy systems.
Materials
With our unique technology platform, we’ve created custom and off-the-shelf thermal spray powders such as nano titanium dioxide thermal barrier coatings for corrosion and abrasion-resistent coatings. We've also created a lanthanum-based compound that binds with phosphate anions creating materials for cleaning water and air. We've partnered with Sherwin-Williams in the further development of our Hydrochloride Pigment process which creates a high-quality, pure-white, nontoxic titanium dioxide pigment.
Life Science
People with end stage kidney disease usually have a build up of phosphate in their body, which can lead to life-threatening cardiovascular complications. We developed RenaZorb™ to help control the phosphate buildup, and Renalan, a drug candidate with the same product technology as RenaZorb, for controlling phosphate buildup in companion animals.
